Lashkar by Mukul Deva

Last Week I picked three books to read. Lashkar by Mukul Deva, Scoop! by Kuldip Nayar and The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. Already finished Lashkar and so putting down my thoughts here.

Any one can judge from book's name and it's cover what Lashkar story about. Laskhar published in 2008 is already a best seller and will be soon turn into a Bollywood movie.

I remember the only thriller series that I had read is Bourne series by Robert Ludlum. I am a big fan of his works.

I haven't seen or read any thriller written by an Indian author before I picked Lashkar written by Mukul deva. I was not sure that I will be able to finish this book. As  I read on, I found my self glued to the sit. The story is a fictional account of India's response to Delhi Bomb Blasts.

The story speaks about guys who are misguided by terrorist group. Young Iqbal the protagonist of the story belongs to Lucknow.  He is misguided by some terrorist group and he goes to POK for training. When he returns from there he took part in Delhi blasts. When he returns to his home after completion of mission, he founds that his mother and his young sister are no more there for him.  They were became the victims of Delhi Blasts. So what he will do? Will he continue his mission and keep working for Lashkar?

Mukul Deva's Force22 seems realistic. I liked the way he described the assassination of culprits of  blasts.

As this is a series of four Books, I am going to pick the next one 'Salim must Die' as soon as I am done with my current stack..

Love @ Internet by Rajeev Ranjan

These days when Indian book market is filled with avalanche of fictional books from some known an some unknown authors,Few of them lost their mere presence in the heard books. So writing s book that make a reader glued to it till the end is becoming so difficult, every story seems like it has been told so many times, at that time an Author needs to show his creativity and his out of box thinking.
I read Rajeev Ranjan’s first book Splash of Love last year and found it one of the story that make you sit continuously for hours to finish it. The best seller author Rajeev  Ranjan does not need any more introductions to his readers. When I heard about his second book launch I was very excited to read it. Love @ Internet is the second novel by Rajeev Ranjan that I have finished few days back and wanted to write about it from that time.

Love @ Internet‘s story is quite different from the love stories (Indian authors), I have read in recent past. Rohit the protagonist of Love @ Internet is a shy guy who lacked self confidence while it comes to mingling with opposite gender.  The story starts with telling about Tina his balcony Love, she left him alone and move with her parents to a new place. Rohit has no idea where she gone. He starts focusing on his studies and after completing his studies he lands in Mumbai.  In his mid twenties he still finds it difficult to communicate with girls. He searches for ad different medium to find Love, love @ Internet.  Internet the virtual world where there is no authentication of someone’s reality.  People lies here, someone can cheat him here. And he decides to give himself a chance to find a soul mate, soul mate in form of binary digits.
Those where the early days of Internet sprawling in India. Internet Cafes were opening in small spaces where they charge good bucks for spending few hours on Internet. Rajeev created an account on some chatting site to find someone there, across those wires who will really understand his love, who can share his fellings?
Will Rohit be able to find her Soul Mate?
Akriti the first girl whom with he chatted first will become his soul mate.
Sweet Gal or Aiswarya  or Akriti who will become his soul mate?
Will he find himself cheated by this wirey world that makes him addictive to spend hours and hours in front of computer screen?
Why Anit Amrahs is making Rohit Life difficult on Internet world while he already mentioned  that He is not interseted talking to guys online?
Will Rohit find Tina again in his life?
What he will get Love Lust or Dhoka?
I am not going to tell you the whole story here. You need to read Love @ Internet to know  rest of Rohit’s story.
Believe me Love @ Internet by Rajeev Ranjan is one of the sensational stories that make it worth reading. Narration is so simple that anyone can connect to it. The flow of story is so smooth that you will never fill leaving it in middle. Adding twist in story is the USP of author. Rajeev adds it at the perfect time when you find the dose of love is taking over you.  Love @ Internet is not mere a love story, it speaks about the harsh reality of world.
So a book I will suggest to read you might also find love somewhere between those binary digits ;)
Rajeev Ranjan is one of the authors whom I love to read again and again.

Weekend Watch - Vicky Donor

This weekend,  I watched Vicky Donor. Despite being a low budget and with unknown faces the movie has done a great job by entertaining people.

The film story evolves around Vicky(Ayusman, MTV VJ turned actor) who is jobless and live in Lajpat Nagar(Delhi) with her mother and grandmother. He spends his time  roaming here and there and want to do a job rather going to do business as family tradition.

He is persuaded by Baldev Chadda(Anu kapoor)to donate sperms for his Infertility clinic. He agreed with him and start earning money through it.
How it is going to effect his life?
Will it become a money making business for him?
How will his family react when they come to know the truth?

To know all these things you have to watch the movie.

Movie is very funny and it kept me laughing till the end.

The fair & lovely ad girl Yami Gauatam has done a splendid job.

There is a song in the movie that I haven't heard earlier is quite touching. I love listening that song.

lyrics of the song  is

Paani da..rang vekh ke
Paani da..rang vekh ke
Paani da..rang vekh ke
Aankhiyaan jo anju rul de

Aankhiyaan jo anju rul de
Maahiya na aaya mera

Maahiya na aaya mera
Maahiya na aaya
Raanjhana na aaya mera
Maahiya na aaya
Maahiya na aaya mera
